So you are bored of Facebook. Same friends, same status updates eulogizing vacations and new love conquests, and unending pictures from the fairy tale life? You are now a parent and you have better things to worry about, such as schools for your kids, vacation destinations, babysitters, homework, and so on.
Let’s say you are looking for a good school for your 3 year old.
How are you sure that Google will return you the best, most reliable, and trust worthy information? Chances are that it won’t. So what do you do? You go to several parenting sites or forums on the Internet and look for information. The quality of information that you find on these sites are usually unreliable and not good enough to give you a direction for your research.
Now consider if you can form your own online network and invite friends, relatives, and acquaintances to join you in the network. You can ask these people to rate an item, such as a school or doctor and based these ratings each item is awarded a trust level. A trust level is much more authentic than general rating because the rating is done by people you know.
To add to it, you are allowed a cool social networking interface - say Facebook for parents. Would you like to have a social networking site just for parents? No useless status messages, no lewd updates. Just plain talk about kids.
What do you think? If you think that’s a good idea or even otherwise, go towww.parentsKlub.com.
parentsKlub allows you to invite people you trust (friends, relatives) and form your own network. These people then rate each item, such as schools, doctors, babysitter, and so on. When people from your network rates each item, the parentsKlub rating engine assigns a trust level to that item ranging from 0 to 10.
Trust level is different from regular ratings because it is done by known people. Chances of bogus or paid rating is drastically reduced and you get a genuine indication of what people you know feel about a certain item.
